I have been trying to determine what would replace my personal 7 year old The 55″ LCD rear projection, which has served myself very well, for nearly a year. My requirements were 65″+ (otherwise, what is the position). 3D was not necessary, but I was not instead of it. I am not entering it in a beauty contest, and it will not urine me off. I will be quite happy, along with my movies look fantastic on it.

Bought this Tv set (UN55C7000) from Amazon with regards to a month ago for about $1800.

Overall I am very pleased with the TV. Our prime def quality can be exceptionally good. I think Samsung LCDs defeat anyone else’s LCDs in terms of pure picture quality. As well as the bezel is very fashionable and thin (though I would have desired a traditional black are in position to this new silver precious metal one).

However, there exists room for improvmemnt. I really do notice some flashlighting through the corners as other reviews have talked about. It’s not terrible and also turning the backlight as a result of 7 helps. It is most noticeable in dark scenes when viewed off perspective. I actually bought this kind of TV for my parents house, and I don’t think they’ve actually noticed this flashlighting influence. If you don’t know to watch out for it, you might never recognize it.

This Television also does not have genuine local dimming like the Eight thousand series does. Rather this TV dims or brightens all the backlights together. Local dimming would have been wonderful, but that feature possibly isn’t worth the extra $400 that Samsung expenses for it.

As far as the actual audio on this Television, it’s pretty good although not great. I assume that is because now that these new LED TVs are so thin, the bottom dealing with internal speakers can not really function as effectively.

For the price Amazon is charging, this specific TV is a very good buy. Most users will be very impressed with the display quality and Samsung UN55C7000 probably never also notice the backlight bleeding issues unless they are described to them.

Last year I bought a new Panasonic 42 inch Plasma HDTV and the photograph on it is so sharpened that when Amazon/Panasonic put an offer on to save a great addition 400.00 dollars for Purchasing this TC-P50GT25 specific 50 Inch 3 dimensional plasma, 3D Blu Ray and Avitar 3D Spectacles starter set I could not resist, Also i saved an additional 20% because I received a new5 code from my Amazon Chase minute card for an additional 20% off so it made my buy for all 3 slightly below 1100.00 dollars, a virtually 50% saving!

Now onto the review…. I am just rating the TV while 4 stars because it does not have the exact crispness as my 42″ Panasonic Plasma7 HDTV(TC-P42G10)which is since sharp of a picture as I have ever seen. I believe the reason is that regardless of how big you HDTV is it is only going to possess 1080 lines of quality, so the larger your HDTV the larger the pixels. So, the larger the Television set the grainer the picture will be. From my experiences a 46″ HDTV will be the max size I would buy, anything around that size you may start to see a less crisp picture if you aren’t going sit A dozen or more feet from the TV.

Now obtaining said all of this, the photo quality is still very good and vivid. There isn’t any blur on quickly motion movies as well as sports, plasma are fantastic for this. We viewed the 3D Avitar video that came with your Glasses starter kit and that i will say that watching 3D was awesome. This TV far exceeded my expectations. As many others have noted, I too was concerned with the fact that this TV was not 1080p. My parents own a Panasonic Viera 1080p plamsa, and I would say, however, that this LG plasma is very close in quality. I thought that images would not be as clear and crisp as I wanted them to, but I soon found out that I was wrong. From a comfortable viewing distance of 7 or so feet, this TV looks amazing. The detail in characters of movies and games is also impressive. I popped in my Avatar Blu-ray and I was immediately won over. The contrast between the lights and darks is great, and the black levels are very good, which is expected from a 42PW350 plasma. The 600hz refresh rate and fast response time make everything smooth, especially with sports and video games.

The only problem that I have with this TV is the fact that it does not make a good PC monitor. Whenever it is connected to a TV, the native resolution makes the desktop look a little large and mis-shapen, but when playing games from the PC to the screen, things look great. It is also nice that the monitor will accept the 1080p input from my gaming consoles and PC, so those look amazing as well.

The 3D games look great, but I cannot yet comment on the quality of 3D movies. However, because of the great 3-D games, I would have to imagine that a 3D movie would be just as impressive. The 2D to 3D conversion seems a little gimmicky, but it does add depth to your favorite shows and movies. I still prefer the 2D to stay in 2D though.

Overall, I would recommend this plasma. For the price and the inclusion of 2 free pairs of glasses (when I bought it anyways) this deal cannot be beaten. Excellent sound from the on-board speakers and equally amazing picture make me very happy that I bought this television.

Nevertheless, the 3d top quality is not as nice when i would’ve hoped for. Your reasoning is that television set ISNT actually 240hz but only true 120hz. In Animations the frame charge gets even more slowly, so i only propose this TV without having a great need for 3 dimensional but really want a tv set with great net features.
