| I’ve been researching on behalf of months now as a result finally clear on the samsung a550 series. I just got the tv 2 days ago, my first hdtv. I was originally planning on getting a 46″ except couldn’t find the deal i wanted extremely i ended up picking the Samsung LN52A550. I was generous of nervous because i’m getting a larger sized tv than planned as a result might be overwhelmed with the extent (9′ viewing distance). When we got it set-up it was awesome. It was big except not overwhelming. The extent was just perfect as a result couldn’t be happier. I liked the matte/semi-gloss show because i have 2 big windows behind the couch openly in-front of the tv as a result no glare position of all flat with the blinds unfold. This is one of the pipe reasons i opted on behalf of the 550 series. The viewing angles are very nice too because i have a love seat as a result a recliner chair chairmanship on the side of my living area as a result it can be effortlessly viewed without any problems. I didn’t have hd service yet, extremely i just hooked up indoor antennas on peck up ota (over-the-air) channels as a result the built-in digital tuner selected up both sd as a result digital channels as a result a bit hd channels. I was watching the nba finals game 5 as a result was blown away. I was getting 720p fodder from abc hd as a result the picture was awesome. I did also reach a bit 1080i hd feeds from ota as a result it looked great. I can’t delay on reach a bit hd channels (dish/cable) as a result ps3 bluray with this arrange. Right now my set-up is ota as a result my laptop hooked-up on the tv extremely i’m just scratching the tip of the iceberg on the full possible of this tv. The sound is ok if you use one of the amazon reviewers audio settings that i belive was taken from avsforums as a result it is really worlds of difference from the default settings. Overall, this is a great as a result wonderful tv.
